 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub (American actress and comedian, as well as activist) is a comedian. Born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents Her career began as a child actor just after emigrating to United States. Her appearances as Lily Adams in AT&T TV commercials between 2013 and 2016 - and then since 2020 - made her famous. In addition to commercial appearances, she also appeared as an actor in the series on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction comedy Other Space (2015). Additionally, she was a regular on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016–2017). Vayntrub was originally cast as the character Squirrel Girls in Marvel Rising's pilot that was never aired for New Warriors in 2018, has been voiced that role since. Vayntrub, was a Jewish person, was born in Tashkent (Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic), USSR. Her parents, who were two years old, immigrated to America as refugees from antisemitism. They were settled in West Hollywood. Because of her family's financial difficulties the actress began appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials as a five-year-old. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School. However, she quit her sophomore year and earned a GED. After that, she went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication from the University of California San Diego. She was introduced to improv comedy through the Upright Citizens Brigade.
